JESUS IS OUR ONE NAME
JESUS IS LORD. HE IS OUR MASTER AND OUR RULER. HE HOLDS ALL POWER AND AUTHORITY. HE IS OUR KING AND HE’S OUR FRIEND. HE’S OUR HEALER AND HE’S OUR PROVIDER. HE’S THE REDEEMER AND THE RESTORER. HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. AND HE’S OUR SAVIOR. HE IS THE SOURCE OF ETERNAL GIFTS - LIFE. PEACE. JOY. RESURRECTION. THE HOLY SPIRIT. FREEDOM. LIGHT. FRUIT. AND THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER. WE FEAR HIM. WE WORSHIP HIM. WE SERVE HIM. WE EXALT HIM. WE LOVE HIM. THIS IS FOR HIM AND FOR HIS GLORY.
DAILY SURRENDER IS OUR DISCIPLINE
EACH DAY WE DECIDE TO SURRENDER OUR LIVES TO CHRIST. WE DIE TO OURSELVES AND IN TURN GIVE BACK THE LIFE HE FIRST GAVE TO US. IT IS GOD’S WILL FOR US TO BE SANCTIFIED. WE PLAY OUR PART BY SUBMITTING READILY AND RECOMMITTING ONE DAY AT A TIME. WE DON’T WAKE UP SELF-CENTERED OR SIN-CONSCIOUS. WE WAKE UP WITH A PURE HEART FOR HIS GREAT NAME AND PRAY HIS WILL BE DONE.
PRAYER IS OUR DEVOTION
THE HEART OF OUR FAITH IS KNOWING OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. RATHER THAN RUSHING THROUGH OUR DAYS, WE TAKE A METHODICAL APPROACH AND ARE IN PRAYER CONSTANTLY AS WE SEEK HIM OUT AND LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. OUR CONNECTION WITH THE LORD IS OUR POWER SOURCE. APART FROM HIM WE CAN DO NOTHING. OUR PRAYERS ARE NOT A WISH LIST FOR A MORE COMFORTABLE LIFE. INSTEAD, OUR PRAYERS REVEAL TO US THE HEART OF GOD, GLORIFY HIS NAME, ROOT US IN CONFIDENCE WITH A SOUND MIND, AND ALIGN US TO HIS PERFECT WILL.
WORSHIP IS OUR POSTURE
LIFE WILL CONTINUOUSLY BE FULL OF CHALLENGES. WE ALL FACE UPS AND DOWNS AND EACH OF US IS IN A SEASON UNIQUELY OURS. WE WILL MOURN TOGETHER. WE WILL CELEBRATE TOGETHER. WE WILL LAUGH TOGETHER AND WE WILL CRY TOGETHER. BUT THROUGH IT ALL, WE WILL ALWAYS WORSHIP TOGETHER BECAUSE OUR ADORATION FOR JESUS IS NOT BASED ON OUR CIRCUMSTANCES BUT ON HIS SACRIFICE AND LOVE FOR US. WE WILL PRAISE AND REJOICE IN HIM FROM NOW INTO ETERNITY.
PEOPLE ARE OUR PRIORITY
JESUS SAID, “I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH.” ONE NAME CHURCH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST, CREATED BY THE LORD, OPERATED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, EVER-EVOLVING, FOR HIS GLORY. WE ARE MULTI-GENERATIONAL AND DIVERSE - EACH PERSON WONDERFULLY MADE - WORKING IN CONCERT TOGETHER WITH OUR UNIQUE GIFTS AND PURPOSES. TOGETHER, OUR PRAYER AND OUR MISSION IS TO MAKE DISCIPLES AND REACH THE LOST, THE HURTING, THE SICK, THE MARGINALIZED, THE UNBELIEVING, AND THE DEPRIVED. WE WILL BUILD COMMUNITY. WE WILL BE PATIENT WITH EACH OTHER. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY WE WILL BOLDLY PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL TO A LOST WORLD.
GENEROSITY IS OUR FUEL
TOGETHER, WE ARE FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT, WE ARE KEEPING THE FAITH, AND WE WILL FINISH THE RACE. TO RUN WELL, WE NEED FUEL. NO ONE HERE SITS DOWN AT THE TABLE WITHOUT RESTOCKING THE FRIDGE. AT ONE NAME CHURCH, WE DON’T GIVE, BUT WE GIVE BACK TO THE ONE WHO GAVE US EVERYTHING. WE DO THIS WITHOUT PLEADING AND PRODDING. WE’VE CAUGHT THE REVELATION THAT IT IS A JOY TO BE AN ONGOING INVESTOR IN GOD’S KINGDOM. LIKE INGREDIENTS IN A RECIPE, ALL OF US PLAY A PART IN BEING GENEROUS WITH OUR TIME, OUR SKILLS, OUR WISDOM, OUR FINANCES, AND OUR HARD WORK.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
At One Name Church we believe Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith. We declare that Jesus is our cornerstone, the head of the body, and in all things He holds the preeminence. Jesus is not part of our message, He is the message, and everything we build, everything we teach, and everything we pursue flows from Him as Christ is formed in us. We believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness: that Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, bodily resurrected, ascended to the Father, and will return in glory. We believe His finished work is complete, that salvation was accomplished at the cross and is received by grace through faith. We believe salvation is not earned but revealed, a divine rescue, restoration, and reconciliation into union with the Father. We believe in one God, our Father, who has adopted us in Christ and calls us beloved sons and daughters, and we declare that our identity is rooted in sonship, not performance. We believe in the Holy Spirit who indwells us, empowers us, transforms us, and reveals Christ in us, forming Christ within us and empowering us to live as witnesses of His finished work. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are inspired, authoritative, and whole, revealing Christ concealed and Christ revealed, with Jesus as the center of all revelation. We believe the Word leads us through a divine progression of revelation, application, transformation, and multiplication, forming Christ within us and spreading His life to others. We believe the Gospel is cultivated not only from pulpits but around tables, where families gather to break bread, open the Word of God, pray, take communion, and testify of the goodness of the Lord. We believe the family table is a place of communion, discipleship, restoration, and generational blessing where Christ is centered and faith is lived daily in the home. We believe fathers are called to pastor their homes, mothers to disciple with wisdom and grace, and children to encounter the presence of God within their households. We exist to see hearts awakened, identity restored, freedom lived, and Christ formed in all. Everything we do flows from one Name: Jesus.
