Our story began in the quiet of our Pastor’s living room, a humble space where God brought people together and planted the seeds of our church
OUR STORY
Our story began with a group of men who went away to seek the face of God.
On that retreat, Jesus met them. He restored, awakened, and called them deeper into sonship. They came back changed carrying a hunger for His presence and a clarity of who they are in Him.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.” 1 John 3:1
From that moment, everything began.
What began as a personal encounter with Jesus didn’t stay at the retreat, it followed them home.
These men returned transformed.
Marriages that had been strained were restored.
Identity was rediscovered.
Fathers came back to their families.
Tables that had once been empty were filled again with laughter, with prayer, with presence.
What God did in them began to overflow into everything around them.Soon, families started gathering together in the living room of our Pastors’ home.
Like the early church in the Book of Acts, they devoted themselves to fellowship, breaking bread together, lifting their voices in worship, and steadfastly joining in prayer. And before their eyes, lives were being transformed.
That living room became sacred ground.
A place marked by His presence where hearts were healed, faith was strengthened, and a spiritual family was being formed according to His design.
Out of these humble yet powerful gatherings, something holy was born. One Name. A community gathered around the name above every name, the name of Jesus.
What began with a few transformed lives became a growing family, united in His presence and marked by the unmistakable evidence of His love.
OUR LEADERSHIP
At One Name, we acknowledge only one true head our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for “Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body” (Ephesians 5:23). He alone is the foundation and the Shepherd of this house. In His divine wisdom and calling, He has appointed Pastors Jesus and Blanca Cruz to lovingly guide and watch over His people.
Through their steadfast obedience, this house continues to stand, flourish, and be sustained each day. Their humble submission to the will of the Lord has formed not merely a gathering, but a spiritual family united in faith, love, and the abiding presence of God.
